Travel to Lake Sevan, one of the world's largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. Visit Sevanavank Monastery, beautifully situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake. Continue along part of the ancient Silk Road and stop at the historic Selim Caravanserai. Arrive in Jermuk, famous for its mineral waters and dramatic mountain scenery, and visit the impressive Jermuk Waterfall.
Day 13: Day 13 — Karahunj, Tatev & Goris
Today's journey leads to Syunik Province. Visit Karahunj, an ancient archaeological site often compared to Stonehenge. Continue to the spectacular Tatev Monastery, reached via the Wings of Tatev cable car, one of the longest reversible cable cars in the world. Enjoy magnificent canyon views before arriving in Goris.
Day 14: Day 14 — Areni Wine, Noravank & Khor Virap
Travel toward Yerevan with several fascinating stops along the way. Visit Areni, Armenia's celebrated wine-producing region, and enjoy a tasting of local wines. Continue to the stunning Noravank Monastery, dramatically located among red rock cliffs. Day 16: Day 16 — Geghard, Garni & History Museum
Travel to the scenic Azat River Gorge to visit Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site partially carved into the rock. Continue to Garni Temple, the only surviving Greco-Roman colonnaded temple in the region. Complete the day with a visit to the History Museum of Armenia, providing an excellent overview of the country's fascinating past.
